About me…

Hey, I’m Maggie! Since realizing a while back that life is truly what you make it, I’ve given up listening to anything society tells me I “should” be and am embracing the person I am. Working on what makes me feel alive is the ultimate goal, and for me, I feel most alive when I’m writing.

I have loved the writing process for as long as I can remember, filling up journal after journal. I now follow my passion professionally as a full time content marketing writer and a part time freelance writer and editor.

I crave the creativity required to curate a piece, and the ever-changing topics keep me curious. It’s why I love what I do, and you can read my published pieces here.

What else should you know about me? Here are some fast facts:

• My favorite book is “Pride and Prejudice” and I own over 30 copies from used bookstores around the world — all in different languages!

• One of my hobbies is refurbishing wooden chairs and painting them to resemble book covers. You can find my pieces on Instagram @ Literachair.

• I worked in education for eight years, first as an English teacher and then as a school counselor.

• I’m a Gemini sun, Aquarius moon, and Scorpio rising… if that means anything to you.

• My go-to karaoke song is “Love Shack” by the B-52’s.

• I can speak German. “Genau” is my favorite German word.

• When I’m not writing you can find me meditating, boosting my dog’s confidence by telling him how cute he is every five minutes, or hanging with friends on the nearest rooftop.
