Seeking representation for “Blocked”
A standalone novel with series potential
In 2016, I had the most vivid dream of my life. Upon waking, I drove to the high school where I worked as an English teacher, and immediately started typing. Much to my students’ excitement, whatever lesson plans I had that day evaporated. It was movie day, and I spent all eight hours outlining — and even drafting — what has now become a complete novel.
I’m proud enough to have written a novel, but I’m ready to take the next step, and am looking for literary and editorial representation.

SUMMARY:
After a disappointing — even depressing — first semester at college, Margot is finally home for winter break, desperate to reconnect with her three best friends. Rockie, Leo, and Lennix have flourished at college, while she has felt lonely, stuck in the past, and far from home. She’s especially anxious to talk with Rockie, who’s been at her side since childhood. Their relationship has shifted, and Margot hopes they can fix it. When Lennix suggests that the four go skiing for the weekend at his family home in the mountains, Margot is optimistic that the uninterrupted time together will help bridge the disconnect she’s been feeling.
But Canary Mountain has darker plans. A dangerous snow storm blows in, blinding the mountain, cutting off power, and blocking roads. Then, Leo and Lennix disappear. Margot and Rockie are forced into a frantic search for their friends, and what they discover lurking on Canary Mountain is more sinister than anything they could imagine.
